Chessbuddy Terms of Service

By using our Service, you agree to these Terms of Service (“ToS”).
1. Use of the Service
Chessbuddy provides a platform for chess tactics training and related activities. You may use the Service as a guest or by creating an account.
- Guests can use the Service immediately, but progress is not saved across devices.
- Creating an account allows you to preserve progress, share content, and interact with the community.
2. Age Requirement
Users must be at least 16 years old in Germany due to data protection law. The Service itself is suitable for all ages.
3. Account and Profile
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You may personalize your profile. Profile information (e.g., display name, avatar, bio) is always public.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account.
4. Community and Shared Content
- You may share content or use features that make your activity visible to others.
- You are expected to behave respectfully and follow community guidelines.
- Chessbuddy reserves the right to remove content or exclude users for violations.
5. Premium Plans
- Chessbuddy offers free and paid plans. Paid plans unlock additional features.
- Subscriptions are billed monthly or yearly. You can cancel anytime and retain access until the end of the paid period.
6. Discretionary Refunds
Refunds are offered at Chessbuddy’s discretion.

8. Service Availability
We do our best to keep the app available and operational. Chessbuddy is not liable for temporary interruptions or technical issues.
9. Modifications
Chessbuddy may modify features, content, or these ToS at any time. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any changes.
10. Limitation of Liability
Chessbuddy is provided “as is.” We are not liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from use of the Service.
11. Governing Law
These ToS are governed by German law.
