Checkmate patterns explained: Vukovic Mate
The Vukovic mate is a checkmate pattern where a rook and knight deliver mate with the help of a pawn. The rook controls a rank or file while the knight covers escape squares, and a friendly pawn blocks the remaining flight square. Named after Vladimir Vukovic and described in his classic work "The Art of Attack in Chess."
