Checkmate patterns explained: Boden Mate

Boden's mate is a classic checkmate pattern where two bishops deliver mate on crisscrossing diagonals. The king is typically trapped in the center or on the queenside, blocked by its own pieces, while the bishops strike from opposite diagonal directions. Named after Samuel Boden, who executed this pattern in a famous 1853 game.
